Fear unlocked

Good day to you and thank you for joining me and reading my first blog as I share my thoughts and/or what the Lord has shared with me. I pray you find this encouraging and a blessing. Welcome to keystounlock!

Fear is a real and ugly thing in our lives, which can delay you from becoming who you are destined to be. Fear, if you let it will lock you in an interrogation room and break you down until your faith comes into question. Fear is a distraction that can cause you to drown. Drown in your sorrows, self-pity, sin and shame. Things happen in our lives that cause us to take on fear and accept it. In many cases we have allowed fear to become bigger than our faith. Fear is rude and it’s a bully, it pushes you around like you are the weakest link. It has even gotten to the point where it pushes you around because it knows you won’t fight back. It can start as a crack in our vase of trust and over time that crack can become bigger and bigger until the vase finally breaks apart. Things happen in our lives that cause our trust and faith to lack or come under scrutiny, then we become broken vessels. This is something that God did not intend for us to have. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7. His desire is not for us to be broken

This is a very deep subject but a very important one to me at least because in some ways I have allowed fear to be a motivator in my life starting as a young man in elementary school. I allowed that crack to become bigger and bigger and well you know the rest. In a lot of ways, I became a prisoner to fear and anxiety. Simple things would stop me in my tracks and cause me to be “stuck” in that way. Lets take into example your computer or phone, when your storage space becomes close to or at capacity your device becomes slower to respond to your commands, you can’t download anything sometimes you can’t even open documents or programs. That’s what was happening to me, so full of fear for everything else there was no room to fear God like it says in Proverbs 19:23 “The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil. Proverbs 14:27 reads, “The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.” The fear I have been talking about from the start was the fear that takes away from fearing the Lord. Fear of the Lord is being humble or having a reverence/respect for the Lord. Some of you may know what I’m talking about and can relate to the fact that you have allowed fear to become bigger than your faith in God. Maybe your storage capacity is full and you can’t receive from God, you are slowing down and dragging you seem to be drowning in your sorrows, self-pity, sin and shame.

Well just like your device you have to clean up your disk space delete, delete, delete all of that junk (fear of everything else) repent ask for forgiveness and learn the fear of the Lord. Are you familiar with the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego? It can be found in Daniel 3. They didn’t fear King Nebuchadnezzar and his orders to worship the golden image. They had the fear of the Lord and stood up the King and were thrown fully clothed and bound into the fiery furnace that was cranked up well past the normal setting. But they were not harmed by the fire at all not even their clothes were burned not a hair on their head singed. This story encourages me in many different aspects, that if I just make a move to stand up to fear and anxiety that is the beginning of life. The Lord gave me a dream many years ago where he gave me a key and told me that I could unlock any door I desired. For years, I didn’t understand that dream and I’ve been faced with many doors to open but haven’t opened them because of fear of what was on the other side. So what good is the key if you don’t have a door or a lock to open. But most of all what good is the key if you are afraid to use it. What if one day you find a whole in the pocket where that key use to live? Remember that, He will never leave you nor forsake you! I pray this has encouraged you in some way and thank you for taking the time to read. Join me next time for more keys2unlock.

I pray you are filled with God’s Love, Joy, Peace, Favor, His Anointing and Holy Spirit and that you share what God has for you to share.

Much love,

Kevin
