Good Day to you, I apologize if you are a follower and had an expectation of a blog last month. I won’t make an excuse I’ve just been dealing with some things. Welcome to the 6th Edition of keys2unlock. So, now it is time for me to be transparent and share so here we go.
Grudges are unforgiveness in disguise. I’m sure this is not something new for you. Grudges tend to hold the same weight on you that unforgiveness does. Grudges paralyze you and causes you to be deaf to the Word of God. If you allow it a grudge can take over your mind and cause you to be a bitter person and not even realize it. There are drugs out there that alter your mind your mental state they are highly addictive. There are also things in our lives that we have become addicted to that causes a change in us that we don’t even realize we just become slave to it. Grudges can do that to us some will find a bit of satisfaction explaining what happened that caused the grudge to manifest. You give that addiction power every single time you acknowledge it. I’m not here to say I have mastered getting over a grudge but I’m learning what it’s about and I do want it gone from me completely. I know I don’t what it to come back ever. Well if you are being honest with yourself you have taken your first step at getting past it. As I stated before in several previous blogs, I had no idea how broken, torn, stuck, distracted, hurt I was. I say was because I don’t want to be a slave to any of it anymore. I am speaking life to myself and to you. You don’t have to be addicted to being stuck, distracted, broken, torn, hurt you don’t have to live in those places. Jesus didn’t come here for those things He came so that you may have life and have it more abundantly. John 10:10 This is not what I, nor you for that matter was called to do or be.
Getting ahead of myself, Ephesians 4:26 KJV reads; Be ye angry, and sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Grudge means you allowed the enemy to enter into a place he does not belong and now he is causing havoc in your life. Think of this you lock your door for a reason it’s a deterrent to keep people from walking in the door uninvited. It’s used to keep the thief and the robber away or anyone that has a mind to do harm to you take what isn’t theirs. Night is a vulnerable time because it’s harder to be seen at night and if you are doing wrong you don’t want to be seen doing wrong. So, going to bed angry is like going to bed at night and leaving you doors unlocked. This of course makes your home vulnerable. So, it makes your vessel vulnerable to be attacked. This is home grudges, bitterness, unforgiveness enter and begin to destroy you and everything around you. Holding a grudge is like a highly contagious disease, it’s like coughing or sneezing and not covering your mouth. We have got to stop this thing from spreading any way that we can.
Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins. So, we know anger can turn to hatred if not dealt with properly. So, this is what I mean by spreading it. Hatred stirs up strife. It becomes a vicious cycle of disfunction and chaos. Even as I read more, I uncover some things the Bible teaches about hatred. You don’t want the grudge you are holding onto to become hatred. I don’t want to be there at all. Grudges have affected how I love people close to me. I was so wrapped up with how I am viewed by people outside my close inner circle, I have displayed a different person to them versus those close to me. Not cool!!!! What am I doing this is not the attitude I should be displaying at all! God has really been dealing with me in this area for a while and I kept pushing it off like I wasn’t like that. I eventually had to realize and step back from things because this must be cast out and dealt with immediately. People if God reveals something about you deal with it immediately, He has a reason as to why He is revealing it to you. Everyday that I didn’t deal with it I gave it power and control over me, so much control that it changed my attitude and personality, I even hid it to others. So, if this is a surprise to you and you know me then now you know that I hid this from you. No more hiding!!! No more grudges!!! I will not be controlled by anger, grudges, bitterness!!! I recognize you and serve you notice enemy! You are trespassing get out and off the premises NOW! You are not welcome here!!! I encourage you that if you relate to this in anyway search your heart ask the Lord to reveal to you any grudges or unforgiveness. Call it out, pray and ask God for forgiveness, forgive yourself and the individuals. Don’t stay in hiding! Stop burying yourself and being captive you were never meant to be like this! I pray this causes someone to be better.
