So Full of it (FaITh)

Good day to you all, I pray you are staying safe especially those on the East Coast like me getting hit by Hurricane Dorian. Please be safe and be smart! I pray for all those affected by this storm. We are here again with another edition of keys2unlock. I hope you got a chuckle out of the title and that it grabbed your attention. Thank you for taking the time to read and I pray these writings are a blessing to you in some way.

Stable means not likely to give way or overturn, firmly fixed. Well balanced not easily disturbed. Lets take an empty cup for instance, you set it on the counter in your kitchen and you can easily push it over with your finger. Now if you fill the cup with water it can’t be easily pushed over, meaning you have to exert more force to knock the cup over spilling it’s contents. Looking at Chemistry did you know that the atoms in your body try to reach the most stable (lowest-energy) state that they can. They reach that stable state when their outermost shell is FILLED with electrons. I’m not a chemistry major yall I read that somewhere. With that being said Matthew 17:20 reads, So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say unto this mountain, ‘Remove from hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. What am I trying to say? I am saying that You aren’t easily disturbed/troubled/moved by the enemy’s attacks if you are filled with faith.

Let’s look at Daniel 3 a very familiar story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. They were thrown into the fiery furnace because they refused to worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had put into place and commanded everyone to worship. They did not conform to what was told to them, they remained faithful and stable. King Nebuchadnezzar confronted them about their “disobedience” to his command. The Bible reads that they answered not one of them answered it reads that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, that God whom they serve is able to deliver them from the fiery furnace and from his hand, but if not they wanted it to be known that they do not serve the king’s gods, nor will they worship the image of gold that he set up. As we all know the king was furious and had them turn up the furnace to burn 7 times hotter than usual and had Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego bound and put into the furnace. We also know that once they were in the furnace the were not burned, they were no longer bound and the Son of God was walking around in the furnace with them. My mind began to race as I thought of this and read it again. This was the thought I had and it was a simple one but maybe not that simple. The KJV reads that the fire had no power over them. So take this short walk with me for a second, the fire had no power over their bodies only over that which had them bound! They came out of the fire with no burns not even their coats or clothes where burned. Were they so full of faITh that there was nothing to burn except that which had them bound? Isaiah 41:10 reads “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Notice also they didn’t come out of the fire and get up in the king’s face and say “See we told you so! Ha, look I’m not burned I’m not bound what King Nebuchadnezzar what now dude?”

Shifting…

What good is a seed if you never plant it?

Full of faith by my own definition means to use it at its full potential. Meaning you have faith with works! James 2:14-26 talks about dead faith. Faith is intended to live and grow in us. An ever-growing faith not faith that is stagnant, dry/brittle and falling away. This is what the enemy wants of you he desires to cause you to dry up and wither away, he doesn’t want you to grow and possibly spread across and take over the field. We don’t have to imagine the impact the 3 Hebrew boys had on those around that day they witnessed what transpired in and around the fiery furnace. It began with their faith and trust in God. What affect are you having on those around you right now? Those on your job, your family, your neighbors. Have they witnessed your faith in action? Ask this question and this is my belief, the Son of God was with the 3 Hebrew boys the whole time why was it only when they were put into the fire did anyone else noticed He was there?

Thank you for joining in, I pray you are filled with God’s love, joy, peace, favor anointing and Holy Spirit I love you and may God bless and keep you!
