Derailed But, Back on Track

Good day to you all and Happy New Year! Yes, I know it’s been a while but nevertheless here we are. I pray you are all being as safe as you can and are continuing the fight and the press. Let us step back into this journey the keys2unlock. So welcome back and thank you for taking the time to read. I pray that whatever is posted in these messages will uplift, encourage and help you. I don’t know what situation is present in your life but I know that God is there with you just call on Him. And go!

Have you ever thought of your life as a story in the Bible? So, I was watching a movie the other day well it’s been several weeks now. The movie was about a man who was trying to get home to his family for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. He endured so many trials and obstacles he thought that he would not make it on time. The weather was bad and all flights were grounded then canceled, he had his wallet stolen, he met a guy that he tried to get rid of but he kept showing up everywhere. He tried renting a car, taking a train he tried so many different avenues to get home. The annoying guy that ended up being his travel partner and vowed to help him get him. He finally made it home and parted way with the man only to realize that the man was really homeless and had no home to go to. But it caused me to think about how you/we all have a purpose or agenda and how we get tossed something while on our path and that very thing is designed to slow us down, take us off course or stop us completely. This is the derailment plan designed and setup by our adversary. The adversary has a plan to maybe stop you long enough to cause you to lose focus or the motivation to continue forward. Maybe this obstacle is a physical attack but it could very well be mental and or even spiritual. Side note: Years ago, I wrote a sermon called Stuck why are you looking back and even to this day I continue to write about the many different ways we are stuck and sometimes don’t realize it. Maybe you are one of those people that are hard on yourself for making a mistake. These thoughts are not of God but are designed that way to stop you from pressing toward your destiny. Many of us have lost our encouragement to press and are currently jailed in our thoughts of regret, shame and hurt just to name a few.

It is imperative that you do not lose your focus even when things may seem like or look like they are unfixable. (Wait is that a word?) The enemy plants seed too you know little seeds of doubt, hurt, regret and whatever else. Then he waits for someone to water it and unfortunately, we water those seeds when we are hurtful to others and don’t share the love of God. Does that make those that do that workers of iniquity? Those seeds grow and eventually the right path you were on is so overgrow with weeds and everything else you begin to think wait this new path is the way when it is NOT! Now you are in a rut, or on a false path and you sometimes don’t even remember how or when you got there. You have been Derailed.

To derail means to – obstruct or stand in the way of a particular process by changing it or diverting it from it intended way, course or path. 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” We become preoccupied and disarm ourselves Becoming preoccupied is like dropping your weapon your sword or for my military folks its like not standing a proper watch. When that happens, the enemy is watching and seeking to devour you. Maybe I should have told you to grab your Bible. 2 Corinthians 10:1-5 give it a read I will pull verse 4 and 5. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” So, I encourage you to stand with your weapons ready at all times. Your watch is not over until the appointed time. In the mean time Press when you feel like you aren’t moving. Press when you are discouraged. Press through the outward appearance of things. Find your way in prayer seek God. Remember Jesus didn’t pay the price for you to quit, give up or to stop. I also encourage you to rise from that stale place, open your eyes, your heart and press, don’t give up and don’t drop your weapon. Seek the Lord, go to the door and knock see what happens!

I pray you are encouraged and that you are filled with God’s love, joy, peace, favor, anointing and Holy Spirit. Thank you for stopping to read! I love you and be safe!
