Cracks in the Ceiling, It is Time to Remodel/Rebuild Our Heart

I would like to give a specific shout out to my Father God through His Son Jesus for the exposure and for His love. I also mention my wife Courtnay for being the prayer warrior that she is and a willing vessel for use by our Father who is omniscient and inescapable! This is how we are beginning 2023 with keys2unlock. Thank you for reading!

The place called my heart is a room with furniture that isn’t comfortable to sit on! It might look that way but once you sit there you realize there is nothing comfortable about it. In fact, if you really think about it there is only room enough to stand only. So, when people get tired of standing, they leave. There is not even a place to sit on the floor because it is littered with unfinished projects that you don’t want disturbed, Puzzles that are half finished, boxes opened with all the contents still inside, tools laying around that were abandoned mid project. Your intent is to finish them, but you don’t. Because you are distracted by the cracks in the ceiling. Those that are closest to you have realized this and although they leave, they come back with their own chair to sit in because they love you. They are used to you and know how to leave and come back but they never leave their chair, they take it with them and bring it back when they return.

There are framed pictures on the walls that are so dusty you can hardly tell what they are pictures of. There are some that you can tell have just been hung and the pictures in the frames are of your past hurts. On the floor underneath the new picture frames are old frames that have been knocked down to make space for the new ones. The trash can outside the room is filled to the brim but not with old rotten garbage but of old pictures that once filled the frames. If you sit in the room long enough, you will witness a bright light that consumes a single wall of the room. The frames fall and the pictures are thrown in the trash and a new frame is placed neatly on the new wall and the only thing left behind is the old frame on the floor.

Let me explain, the frames fall under the Light and that Light is God who exposes the dark places and casts them out and makes things new. Your past hurts, sins, decisions you have made and anything else that is a burden is now removed from the frame and taken out to the trash. I know you are wondering why He is only renewing one wall at a time. Well, that’s because it is the only wall you will allow Him to clean. Just enough to seem as though you are ok when you really aren’t. Your heart is not open or inviting to love as it should be. That’s why those who come and stay temporarily and then depart. Some of you may have a select few that you may describe as “glutens for punishment” but really, they are those who truly love and care about you and desire for you to be completely made over but you just keep repeating the cycle. God wants to expose every dark place in your heart. He comes to reveal the truth amid the lies, to uncover what is hidden, to love the unloved. We just must do something that we make difficult to do that is trust. See we have been hurt so many times, dealt with many broken promises, word curses, deceitfulness, corruption, and destructive behaviors that we have learned to not trust more than we have learned to trust. God wants our submission to Him to put our trust in Him that He will never leave us nor forsake us. That if we trust God our fears will be eliminated. We won’t have any reason to fear because we are no longer relying on our own understanding. We have put so much time, effort, and trust into trying to fix what only the Master Contractor can repair. We just must lay down our tools and allow Him to come in which means surrender to Him and trust Him to move freely within your heart exposing and repairing those dark areas.  When God moves freely in your heart then the love that He is will allow you to love just like Him!

He will remodel/rebuild your heart just the way God intended for it to be. Then Holy Spirit will guide you in every offering of love that you must give for the rest of your life just remain with Him!

I pray you are blessed by this and know that you are not alone in what you may be experiencing I pray you surrender to the Lord and allow Him to come in and expose whatever dark places may remain in your heart and that He guides you and teaches you all about how He loves you!
